HOW TO MEASURE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM?

At Sota Chiropractic, we are a neurologically based practice. We focus on optimizing the structure and function of your spine AND nervous system. Your nervous system controls and coordinates all functions in your body. It is INCREDIBLY important to make sure this “master” system is functioning properly. So… how do we do that?

It’s amazing that we live in the 21st century and have access to the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment. At our office, we use the CLA Insight neurological scanning software to measure how your nervous system is functioning and track progress throughout care. There is NO guessing when it comes to your health. So what are the CLA Insight scans?

  1. neuroTHERMAL: This scan measures the temperature beneath your skin along your spine and compares side to side. We know that in a healthy, normal spine and nervous system, temperature should be even. When we see clusters of large temperature variation, we detect that on the thermal scan. Large temperature dysregulation indicates autonomic dysfunction. Your autonomic nerves control the function of your organs, glands, and blood vessels. The neuroTHERMAL scan gives us a window to view the function of this branch of your nervous system.

  2. neuroCORE: Muscle activity is controlled at the area of the neuromuscular junction. This is the connection point between your motor nerve and the muscle it supplies. Activity at this junction should fall within a specified range in each area of your spine. When we see pockets of overactivity in the neuromuscular system, it indicates dysfunction in the output of your motor nerves and often signifies your body compensating for other issues.

  3. neuroPULSE: Proper balance between the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight branch) and the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest branch) is crucial for overall health and wellness. The neuroPULSE allows us to measure the balance between these two systems and how that affects your body’s ability to adapt and respond to stress.

The CLA scanning technology allows us to objectively measure the health and function of your nervous system and create a care plan based on your health and your health goals. There is no guessing when it comes to your care at Sota Chiropractic.
